The TUF Guys' Process

At TUF Guys, we work hard to make sure you are always informed and involved in your remodeling project. We strongly believe that the more you understand, the more confident and comfortable you'll be with your remodeling project — and with the TUF Guys. It is one of the many ways we work to establish a close working relationship with you. In fact, our customers tell us that open communication is one of the most important aspects of service we provide — and one of the many things that distinguishes us as a customer-focused company.

Contact

Our process begins with you contacting us either by phone or via our website. You may have been referred to us by a past customer, or found us through a search engine. Either way, we’re glad you’re here.

Info Gathering

After the initial contact, our next step is to meet with you to gather information that will allow us to understand your project. We also want to get to know you better. At TUF Guys our customers are more than just our customers — they are our future friends. People whose company we enjoy and with whom we work hard to please.

Initial Meeting

This meeting provides us an opportunity to share with you who we are and how we do business. We discuss your project needs, review your home’s architectural plans (if needed) and take reference pictures for our designers. It’s also a great time for your questions.

Budget Proposal

Our designers review your project and develop the general specifications for your project. This creates a baseline from which, together, we can create your dream. A general price sheet is also developed to provide you with estimates of the costs involved. We always keep you informed!

Budget Proposal Presentation

We meet with you to review what our designers have developed, how the project will flow, and what the estimated costs will be. This provides an excellent opportunity to make adjustments due to personal preference or cost. We make every effort to ensure that you are deeply involved every step of the way.

Plan Distribution

At TUF Guys we work very close with our partners, who provide services to us and, ultimately, to you. We carefully review the drafted project plans and ensure that we eliminate potential obstacles to completing your project. A smooth path to the completion of your dream is our goal.

Design Presentation

At this point, everyone has reviewed the project plans. We now present the first draft of the final plans to you. We take the time to make sure we have accurately captured your space and layout needs. Full drawings and elevations are an integral part of this presentation. We double-check every step of the way.

Review Revisions

Should any revisions become necessary as the result of the previous meeting, we will meet again after the needed changes have been incorporated into your plan. We are truly committed to ensuring that your wishes are accurately carried out. In addition, you will be provided with a sample contract prior to the next meeting.

Contract and Final Specifications

During this meeting we will review the final drawings and sign off on them, as well as sign the contract. A date will be set for the Preconstruction Conference, and you will begin making selections such as color, hardware, etc. We will also begin making the applications for construction permits in your city.

Preconstruction Conference

We review, once again, the plans to ensure that nothing has been missed or incorrectly designed. The entire construction process is reviewed with you so that you understand what will happen and when. Once everyone is satisfied that everything has been considered and planned for, we set the construction date.

Construction Begins!

The last, and most exciting, leg of the TUF Guys process!
